About the Position: The Defense Forensic Science Center (DFSC) is an organization that provides full-service forensic support (traditional, expeditionary and Reach-Back) to both Army and DoD entities worldwide. The DFSC also provides specialized forensic training and research capabilities as well as forensic services to other federal departments and agencies.
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as member of the Forensic Expeditionary Division (FXD) as a biologist in the performance of professional and scientific work in the area of forensic serology and DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid). Must locate, identify, and individualize body fluids and body fluid stains and perform forensic DNA analysis using the most current DNA technology (PCR, STR, and robotics).
